Barre Tanguis has grown businesses in the hospitality industry having helped transform the model for restaurant operations through successful projects such as St. Roch Market, Politan Row, and MIA Market, which have been named among the world’s best food halls by Travel+Leisure. With locations in New Orleans, Miami, Chicago, and Houston, the food hall concepts have been featured in the New York Times, Food & Wine, and Forbes, among other top publications. He is passionate about building new culinary spaces that attract top talent and embodies his commitment to quality products and service.
Currently, he leads Macromia Group, which he runs with his wife, fashion entrepreneur Cecile Hardy Tanguis, and his cousin, J.D. Hilburn, a Michelin-starred chef. With Macromia Group, Barre hopes to continue sharing his passion for fresh, ingredient-forward cuisine and a warm service philosophy alongside his extraordinary culinary and operational talent network. Outside of his entrepreneurial endeavors, Barre enjoys fishing, traveling, and exploring new cuisines. He is a Louisiana native and splits his time between Miami and New Orleans with his wife and two dogs.
