Gaston Ruiz, Director of Operations - Miami
Born and raised in Miami Florida, Gaston brings 15 years of culinary, hospitality, and operations experience to Macromia Group. His affinity for food, gatherings, and celebration began in his grandmother Teresa’s and father Gaston Sr.’s kitchens. Standing on stools and peering over countertops, he would watch them prepare what can only be described as feasts for friends and family.
After attending college for business and a culinary arts degree, Gaston began his professional journey by working in some of the Miami culinary scene’s kitchens as a cook and chef. Hungry for a more well-rounded and comprehensive understanding of the hospitality industry Gaston made the transition to the front of house management. Over the next decade, Gaston would lead fast casuals, full-service restaurants, and cocktail bars. During this time, he honed his ability to cultivate positive, diverse, and efficient teams empowered to exceed expectations and deliver desirable results.
In his role as General Manager, Gaston brings the same energy and passion for culture, team development, and profitability, helping to guide Macromia Group operations in all its current and future endeavors. When away from his profession, Gaston enjoys playing golf, traveling, and spending time with his wife Michelle and their two children, Gaston III and Celine.
